(Philadelphia, PA) – A $4.45 million settlement for a client of Duffy + Partners was included in the Largest Awards and Settlements in PA roundup in the "PaLaw 2014: State of the Profession" report released by by The Legal Intelligencer, the oldest law journal in the United States.

The case, Zarzecki v. Walnut Park Plaza, was argued on behalf of the estate of a cellular infrastructure technician who died after falling 10 stories from a Philadelphia rooftop. While the defendants argued that Mr. Zarzecki, the job foreman, was responsible for failing to wear the provided fall protection, attorneys Ken Fulginiti and Tom Duffy argued that the focus should be on the building owners, property managers and general contractors for poor planning and design of a project that resulted in a dangerous environment.
