Duffy Case is in “Top Verdicts of 2013”

(Philadelphia, PA) – A trial win by Duffy + Partners was cited in the "Top Pennsylvania Verdicts of 2013" report, as compiled by VerdictSearch and distributed by The Legal Intelligencer,
the oldest law journal in the United States.

In the the case, Lewis v. Central City Toyota, the firm represented a Philadelphia doctor in a five-week trial where a jury awarded $15,700,000 to the doctor and occupants of a car she had rented after an accident stripped her of the use of her left arm and her medical practice. Attorneys for a Toyota dealer under contract to provide maintenance on the vehicle argued that the client had been speeding and the car hydroplaned, but the firm prevailed in persuading jurors that it was mechanical failure due to faulty maintenance and service.

Dr. Lewis was represnted in court by Tom Duffy and Ken Fulginiti. The case was cited twice in the report:  as #4 in motor vehicle accidents and #7 overall.

In 2013, Duffy + Partners celebrated 25 years of helping the catastrophically injured and their families in Philadelphia lawsuits, obtaining settlements and verdicts in the hundreds of millions.
