Duffy + Partners Case Featured in PA Jury Verdict Review & Analysis

A $21,000,000+ verdict obtained by Duffy + Partners was featured in the August 2011 issue of Pennsylvania Jury Verdict Review & Analysis. 

The case  featured in the publication, Campbell v. Temple University Hospitalinvolved allegations that a physician employed by the defendant hospital deviated from the required standard of care by failing to admit the plaintiff when the plaintiff presented to the emergency department with diabetic-related hypoglycemia. The plaintiff went into metabolic encephalopathy, was found unconscious the day of his discharge and suffered permanent brain damage. 

The jury found the hospital 90 percent liable and awarded $635,807 for past medical and other expenses, $1.75 million in past non-economic losses, $4.88 million in future non-economic losses and $14.24 million in future medical expenses.
