Hoverboards Recalled for Fall Risk

Posted on May 30, 2022

A New Jersey-based company has recalled a hoverboard that continues to move even when the rider is not actively controlling it. DGL Group has recalled the Hover-1 Superfly Hoverboard due to a software malfunction in the electrical system that continues to power the motor, putting the rider at risk for falls and injuries. Close to 100,000 units are affected. The hoverboards were sold at Best Buy stores and online at BestBuy.com from October 2020 through October 2021.

Consumers should stop using the hoverboards immediately and return them for a free repair. For information on the serial numbers affected, visit https://www.hover-1.com/pages/important-safety-information or www.dglusa.com (click on "Safety Recall”).

When products fail, life-changing injuries can occur. If you have a question about what you believe may be a harmful or faulty product, contact a Philadelphia attorney experienced in product liability litigation.
