Accent Tables Recalled for Shock Hazard

Posted on March 29, 2021

Jimco Lamp has issued a recall for its decorative accent tables due to a potential shock hazard, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). At issue are the table’s charging receptables and USB ports which can unintentionally shock the user due to reverse polarity.

There are over 99,000 affected tables in the U.S. and an additional 11,000 in Canada, sold under the brand names, “J. Hunt Home” or “J. Hunt & Co.” The tables were sold at Home Goods, TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, Amazon.com and other retailers from May 2019 through December 2020 for between $60 and $130. The tables weigh between 13 and 26 pounds and range from 28 to 74 inches in height. All recalled tables have a white adhesive label on the back or underneath with numbers and date codes between April 2019 and November 2020.

Owners of the tables should immediately stop using the charging ports. Jimco Lamp will offer full refunds and/or replacements for the affected models. Consumers may call Jimco Lamp toll-free at (833) 659-0753, Mon. through Fri., 8 am to 5 pm or email recall@nbg-home.com.
