CUPKIN Stainless Steel Children’s Cups

Soojimus has recalled its popular stainless-steel cups, due to dangerous levels of lead that exceed federal levels. Lead is toxic and can cause adverse health effects if ingested by young children. No injuries have been reported. Consumers should stop using the cups and contact Soojimus for a full refund.

ECR International Gas-Fired Hot Water Residential Boilers

The boilers pose a danger of carbon monoxide poisoning due to a missing flue inspection cover plate that poses a risk of exposure to combustion flue gas. No injuries have been reported. The company is offering free inspection and repair.

Units affected: 1,745

Sold: Wholesale distributors mainly in the Midwest and Northeast from December 2022 through May 2023

Electrolux Frigidaire Gas Laundry Centers

The Frigidaire Gas Laundry Centers have a felt seal on the dryer drum that can fold inward, accumulating lint and creating a fire hazard. There have been 23 reports of fire and one report of an injury caused by smoke inhalation. Electrolux Group is offering a free inspection, repair, and lint removal service. Consumers may continue to use the washers which are unaffected.

Husqvarna Residential 300 Series Snow Blowers

These snow blowers can unexpectedly go into drive mode, posing an injury hazard to those around them. The company has received 22 reports of snow blowers becoming engaged due to a loose auger pulley bolt. There have been no injuries. Consumers should contact the company for a free repair.

Soft Play Sky Wheels

The wheels can detach from the overhead rail during play, posing a fall risk to children. These units were sold to businesses for play areas. There have been 15 reports of wheels detaching, including 3 laceration injuries to the scalp. Soft Play is offering a free inspection and repair. The Sky Wheels should not be used until they are inspected.

Sold: Sold to McDonalds, YMCA, Lifetime Fitness, Burger King, Crunch Fitness, LTF Club Organizations and other fitness and recreational play areas for use by children from June 2009 through July 2022

Timberline Solar Energy Shingles

The solar shingles’ electrical component can malfunction, posing a fire risk. No injuries have been reported but there was one report of a fire and 5 reports of thermal incidents that caused property damage. GAF Energy will check the shingles for defects and repair them free of charge.

VRURC Portable Chargers

The chargers can ignite, posing a fire hazard. One of the chargers caught fire on a commercial airline flight, sending 4 flight attendants to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Consumers should stop using the charger and contact VRURC for a free replacement.

Wild Country Superlight Rocks Cable Wire Chocks

The cable chocks can corrode and weaken when exposed to seaside conditions. As a result, they can break, posing a fall hazard for climbers. No injuries have been reported. The company, Salewa USA, is offering a free replacement.

Woom Bikes USA Original Kids’ Bicycles

The handlebar stem can detach from the bikes, causing riders to lose control and fall. There have been 77 reports of the handlebar stem loosening or detaching, which resulted in 19 injuries including bruises, cuts and abrasions. Woom is offering a free repair kit.

Yamaha Golf Cars

Yamaha is recalling its 2023 Golf Cars, Personal Transportation Vehicles and Umax due to a faulty accelerator spring that does not return to resting position. This can pose crash, injury, and death hazards. No injuries have been reported but consumers should immediately stop using the vehicles. Yamaha is offering a free inspection and repair.
