Duffy + Fulginiti Helps Fund Philadelphia Mobile Teaching Kitchen
(Philadelphia) After an historic, record-setting settlement arising from a catastrophic food truck explosion, the law firm of Duffy + Fulginiti has helped fund a mobile teaching kitchen in honor of the victims of the accident.
The mobile teaching kitchen is operated by the Vetri Community Partnership. This non-profit organization provides culinary and nutrition education programs throughout the City of Philadelphia and in Camden, NJ.

In July 2014, an explosion in a Philadelphia food truck killed two people and severely burned two others. Duffy + Fulginiti’s client was a young woman working with her aunt in the truck who was burned over 65 percent of her body. The firm secured a $54.35 million settlement for her – the largest amount ever paid to a minor in Pennsylvania. This will provide for her lifelong medical treatments and compensate her for her physical and emotional suffering.
