The Duffy Firm Sponsors Taliaferro Foundation/Magee Rehab Golf Classic

(Philadelphia) The Duffy Firm again served as a major sponsor of the annual Adam Taliaferro Foundation and Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation Golf Classic. The event, now in its 13th year, raises critical funds to support spinal cord injury research, rehabilitation, and quality of life. The golf classic took place on October 16, 2023, at the Green Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill, PA.

The Adam Taliaferro Foundation and Magee Rehabilitation Hospital share a common goal of improving the lives of people living with disabilities. This joint event helps both organizations in their missions. The Duffy Firm has been a longstanding supporter of both foundations, and firm founder Tom Duffy serves on the board of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation.

Established in the year 2000, the Taliaferro Foundation was inspired by the comeback of former Penn State cornerback Adam Taliaferro, who suffered a life-altering spinal injury during a game against Ohio State. Given bleak odds for walking again, Taliaferro's indomitable spirit, coupled with three months of intensive therapy at Magee Rehab and unwavering family support, led to his miraculous recovery.

His namesake foundation provides emotional, financial, and educational support to individuals enduring catastrophic head or spinal injuries in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware. The foundation also offers critical financial and educational assistance in the research, prevention, and care of such injuries.

For more than half a century, Magee Rehabilitation Hospital has remained at the forefront of rehabilitation services for those facing life-altering injuries. With an annual commitment to the recovery of approximately 2,000 individuals grappling with brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, orthopedic injuries, and other serious ailments, Magee embodies a legacy of transformative care.

In 2023, The Duffy Firm marks 35 years of assisting the families of the catastrophically injured in Philadelphia. Learn more at
