Tom Duffy to receive Magee Community Champion Award

(Philadelphia,PA) Tom Duffy, Esq., of Duffy + Partners has been named the "2009 Champion in the Community" by Magee Rehabilitation in honor of his firm's support of Magee's patients and programs, most notably Magee's Wheelchair Sports League.
The award will be presented at the 9th Annual "Night of Champions," on May 8, where some of the biggest names in Philadelphia sports history will be gathered, including Billy Cunningham, Scott Palmer, Mike Mamula, Fran Dunphy, Brian Propp, Howard Eskin, Adam Taliaferro, Joe Conklin and a host of other celebrities. Doors open at 6:30pm and the evening will include dinner and live and silent auctions of autographed sports memorabilia, restaurant certificates, unique gift items and travel packages.
"We are thrilled to have this opportunity to recognize Tom Duffy for his support of our wheelchair sports programs," said Mark Chilutti, Assistant VP of Development at Magee. "He has taken an active interest in our athletes and quietly answers the call when funding is needed to help them compete. He does all of this without seeking recognition."
The event, which attracts upwards of 350 people, takes place at Penn's Landing Caterers at the Sheet Metal Workers Union Hall on Columbus Boulevard.
