Duffy + Partners Receives AAA Business Award from Adam Taliaferro Foundation

Celebrating the AAA award are Duffy + Partners attorneys Sarah Dooley and Ken Fulginiti

(Philadelphia) - The Adam Taliaferro Foundation awarded Duffy + Partners its highest honor for businesses, the AAA Business Award, at its annual awards recognition dinner on March 29, 2017 at Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield, NJ. The AAA Award is given to a business or organization that has, through its generosity and commitment, helped guide the foundation to achieve its goals.

Attorney Ken Fulginiti accepted the award on behalf of the firm, which has steadfastly supported the foundation’s mission to assist patients with spinal cord injuries. As both a board member of the Taliaferro foundation, and in his practice, Fulginiti has been instrumental in helping individuals and families who are the victims of catastrophic injury.

“A spinal cord injury is life altering,” said Fulginiti. “The things that you took for granted, from being able to drive a car to dressing yourself, are no longer possible, and the road to recovery can be arduous. The tremendous work being done by the Adam Taliaferro Foundation helps bring some hope to people at their darkest hour. We are proud to be be a part of it.”

The Adam Taliaferro Foundation is a nonprofit organization providing emotional, financial and educational support to athletes and individuals who suffer catastrophic head or spinal injuries in New Jersey, Pennsylvania or Delaware. The foundation was started by Taliaferro, who became paralyzed in 2000 while making a tackle for Penn State in a football game against Ohio State. He was told he would never walk again. However, after three months of intensive therapy, tireless determination, and support from his family, he walked out of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital. Now, through Magee and the foundation, he hosts several fundraising and educational events each year to benefit the cause, including an annual medical symposium.
