Ken Fulginiti of Duffy + Partners participated as an instructor at a recent Continuing Legal Education (CLE) event for the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. “What's It Worth? Evaluating & Settling Personal Injury Cases” took place on March 19, 2013 in Philadelphia.
Quite ironically, the seminar on settlements was taking place on the same day that a jury awarded $11.4 million to a client of Fulginiti and his partner Tom Duffy. The client, a Philadelphia physician who was involved in an auto accident in a rental car, sued the car dealership under contract to provide maintenance on the vehicle. The dealership claimed operator error, while Fulginiti and Duffy proved that the cause was mechanical failure due to faulty maintenance and service.
Attendees received 3 substantive and 1 ethics CLE credits.
