John Mirabella Co-Chairs Philadelphia Bar Association Meeting
(Philadelphia, PA) – John Mirabella of Duffy + Partners co-chaired the April 27, 2011 meeting of the Medical-Legal Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
The committee serves as a liaison of sorts between the medical and legal professions, attempting to re-establish and administer the provisions of the Professional Code by and between the Philadelphia County Medical Society, the Philadelphia County Osteopathic Society and the Association. Additionally, the committee consults with and supplies speakers to hospitals and medical societies on forensic topics and monitors pending legislation in such areas as malpractice, health care and mental health.
The keynote speaker at the event was Beth C. Persun, Director, Pennsylvania Insurance Department Mcare Fund - Bureau of Claims Administration.
Mirabella, who focuses his practice entirely on issues related to Birth Injury, Medical Malpractice and Catastrophic Personal Injury, has served as the Medical-Legal Committee's co-chair since 2008.
